缘起
INTRODUCTION

为了唤起华裔家长对孩子教育的关注和醒觉,马华公会于90年代便开始在乡区遴选部分华小推行了一系列教育振兴计划。

Starting in the 1990s, MCA has selected some Chinese schools in the rural areas that needed special attention to participate in the following programs, with the intention to raise awareness of the Chinese parents towards their children's education.
 
 
爱心计划(2005)
Caring School Program (2005)

     2004年,马华国州议员在全国鉴定了 20所华小,以马华在登嘉楼推行的华小爱心计划为蓝本,于2005年1月,在全国20所华小推行了 “一个都不能少之爱心学校计划”。参与此项计划的学校以学生人数不多、学校在各方面表现尚有提升空间的郊区学校为首选。

     根据“一个都不能少”调查报告,华小毕业生綴学主要原因为中学媒介语的转换,使学生跟不上学业进度以及家庭环境与社会风气的影响。针对上述原因,爱心计划通过环境、文化、服务、管理及教书育人的方式拟出了一系列辅助计划,以协助后进生努力学习,迎头赶上。

     In 2004, all MCA assemblymen worked together to identify a total of 20 SJKC schools all over Malaysia to participate in the Caring School Program, modeling what was earlier initiated by MCA Terengganu. On 3rd January 2005, the program was launched simultaneously in the selected schools, with priority given to SJKC schools that needed upgrading and recorded only a small number of students enrolments.
     According to the “Not-One-Less” Survey, many early school leavers of SJKC discontinued their studies due to the abrupt change in medium of instruction when they enrolled in the national secondary schools. Besides, family environment and social influence were factors attributed to why school children stopped attending school. With regard to the above, the Caring School Program has provided a series of enrichment programs for the less advanced students through enhancement of environment, culture, service and management, in order to help them to catch up in their studies and more importantly to boost their self-confidence.

Aid for students             who need financial assistance
帮助贫穷学生申请外界或教育部提供            的各类援助,如食物、牛奶营养计划等。由班主任或辅导老师鉴定,或鼓励需要帮助的学生向老师求助。
Assist poor students to apply for provision of food and milk by outside sources or the Education Ministry. Class teacher or counseling teacher can help to identify those in need, or encourage them to seek help when necessary.

     教育爱是点燃孩子生命火焰的灯,爱给人勇气和信心;爱给人机会和天赋。因此我们深信,在爱的黑夜里,一定会有中午的阳光。我们也坚信,树够大了,便能够承受风霜;船够大了,便能穿越巨浪,我们更是笃信,虽然我们不能改变沙滩的潮起潮落,但我们至少可以改变一条被浅搁沙滩垂死鱼儿的命运。希望您秉持一颗热爱华文教育的心,给予参与教育振兴计划的学校各方面的援助,在努力朝向“素质教育,面向未来”的教育振兴目标前进的同时,帮助孩子健康快乐地成长。

     Love and education are two important elements that have lit up the lives of our children. Love provides us with courage and confidence, as well as opportunities and potentials. We believe that love is like sunshine in darkness. With love, we can sustain and persevere. With love, we stand like big trees that face storms with calmness, sail like ships that tackle huge waves with patience. There is little we can do to change the law of nature, but we certainly can change the fate of a helpless fish that is struggling between life and death on the shore.
